Bringing Back Smiles To Veterans Who Have Served Our Country

The mission of V.E.T.S. Mobile Dental Unit is to provide free dental services to veterans who do not have access to care through the United States Department of Veterans Affairs while concurrently educating the general public of the significant need for improved benefits for former service-members.

The VA benefits system can be complicated and frustrating to navigate for most, even with assistance. Behind basic medical benefits lie dental benefits, which are even tougher to get unless the veteran meets certain criteria. In our 53-foot mobile dental trailer we provide the dental care, for free, to veterans who are not approved for benefits through the VA.

In March 2019, Dr. Tim Wahle and Steve Gatlin traveled to Austin, Texas, to inspect a mobile dental unit belonging to Christina’s Smile. Soon after, the unit was donated to them so they could form V.E.T.S. Mobile Dental Unit.
Now the organization is poised to begin caring for veterans from all branches of service who are currently without dental coverage.
By aligning the organization as a “Wingman” to the VA, their hope is to offset the tremendous amount of work that needs to be done.
